Racking & Shelving
Pallet racking is a material handling storage system designed to store materials on pallets. Although there are many varieties of pallet racking, all types allow for the storage of palletized materials in horizontal rows with multiple levels.
This system can be tailor made to suit the client’s requirements. The safe working load (SWL) can be determined by the client which will determine if the system need to be light, medium or heavy duty.
We also offer solid & slatted timber decking.
Different Racking Systems
Conventional pallet racking
This widely used system provides immediate access to all pallets, ideal for facilities with a variety of items and smaller quantities of each.
Cantilever racking
Suited for long or bulky items, cantilever racking removes front vertical obstructions, allowing for the storage of awkward shapes and sizes.
Mezzanine floors
Mezzanine floors create an extra level between main floors to capitalize on unused vertical space, offering additional storage without occupying the entire footprint of the area.
Rack supported Mezzanine floors
These mezzanines utilize the wasted space above pallet racks, constructed from racking materials, offering a cost-efficient solution for extra storage space.
Custom & Mobile Work Benches
Custom work benches are constructed by using racking material. This makes the bench very light weight and extremely strong. The bench will be made according to the client’s specific needs.
We also manufacture mobile work benches. These benches allows you to move your work station around and thus reducing the need for multiple work stations.
The medium for the tops are also selected by the client but the most popular types are MDF & Plywood.

Rackstar storage Solutions (Pty) Ltd has installed and completed the largest cross belt sortation system in Africa at the DSV Benoni site.
